Leaflets are by far one of the cheapest and the most effective tools for advertising electronic products and services these days. However, the success of using this marketing medium is dependent on its contents. So when tasked to create one for an electronic product like a mobile phone, an mp3 player or a laptop, avoid the haste of going over directly in designing the layout without carefully thinking about its contents.

When designing a leaflet, start the preparation by gathering information about your target market. This is very critical to launching an electronic product through any medium, because if you know who are going to read your leaflets, it will be easier for you to know what language to use and determine how technical you are going to be. Knowing that not all people are savvy about the technical jargons will make it easier for you to effectively communicate to customers of all levels of understanding.

After determining who your target audience are, the next thing that you should do is to decide what information to put on your flyers. When advertising electronics, basic information that you need to put include: the name of the product, features, technical specifications, and price. The manufacturer's website and customer service's contact information should also be included.

Also remember that an effective promotional leaflet must include a motivational call that encourages customers to act in response to the advert. You can use the unique features of the product that makes it different from others or the manufacturer' promotional offer, if there is any.
